As part of their free games lineup for the coming month, PlayStation Plus users can get their hands on a World War II epic, a difficult survival experience, and a high-octane racing game. Both users with an active PS Plus subscription will be able to download Battlefield V, Stranded Deep, and Wreckfest for free. Although the first two games will be available on both PS4 and PS5, Wreckfest will only be available on PS5. Days Gone, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, and Oddworld: Soulstorm — the free games from the April lineup — will be available until May 3 for subscribers.
The free games will be available to play from May 4 to May 31, according to a blog post by Sony. Here's a short rundown of the free games available:
Battlefield V
The World War II shooter from EA DICE is known for its massive multiplayer modes such as Grand Operations and Combined Arms, as well as jaw-dropping graphics and tight gameplay. Battlefield V's War Story campaign provides an unforgettable experience for single-player fans, allowing you to experience the heartfelt stories of various troops as they confront the horrors of battle. Battlefield V could be a perfect way for players to catch up on their multiplayer skills before Battlefield 6 releases at the end of the year.
Stranded Deeply
Did you like the TV show Lost? If so, you could become addicted to this survival game from Beam Team Games, an Australian studio. You take on the role of a plane crash victim left alone on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. To live in this shockingly difficult game, you'll have to focus on your scavenging and crafting abilities. The universe you're exploring is made up of procedurally generated elements. So, no two playthroughs will ever be the same. Oh, and did we say there's a massive squid hiding in the depths of the ocean? Survivor, tread carefully!
Wreckfest
Wreckfest is a racing game that delivers just what the name promises, making even Fast and Furious Dominic Toretto weak in the knees. Wreckfest is a spiritual sequel to the FlatOut series, allowing you to race stock cars at breakneck speeds around a number of tracks in a demolition derby theme. If crashing cars is too mainstream for you, you can still use the amazing Sofa Car in Couch Craze cases. To see what we're talking about, check out KingGobbo's cool gaming video on YouTube.
Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition was made available for free to all consumers earlier this month as part of the Play at Home 2021 campaign. Users will now be able to play a number of additional free games as part of the campaign.
To keep access to the games once you've added them to your collection, you'll need to have an active PlayStation Plus account. In India, PlayStation Plus subscriptions cost Rs. 499 a month, Rs. 1,199 for three months, and Rs. 2,999 for a year.
