Through social media tipsters, the phone's crucial specifications have also leaked online. The MediaTek Helio G85 SoC is expected to power the Redmi Note 8 (2021).
Kacper Skrzypek of XDA Developers came to Twitter to announce that a new Xiaomi cellphone with the model number M1908C3JGG has been discovered on the FCC certification site. The tipster then added, citing "one of Xiaomi's website," that this model number is related to the Redmi Note 8 (2021). According to the FCC listing, the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, will have a 4,000mAh battery, and will run MIUI 12.5. The identical model number has also been discovered on European EEC certification.
Xiaomi goes on to say that the Redmi Note 8 (2021) would not be released in India, Indonesia, or Turkey. It will most likely launch in the global, EEA, and Russian markets under the codename Biloba. The tipster further confirms that the Redmi Note 8 (2021) will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and will have a 4,000mAh battery. According to reports, the phone supports 22.5W rapid charging.
